My 5+ son has at least 2-3 pages of copy writing for homework each day. He is a practical kid. you tell him to solve a 100 math problems per day he will do it. you tell him to do some simple experiments or a handwork he wont sleep till he is finished. But, copy writing is a no do for him. His time table per day is of eight 40 minute periods and a 20 minute recess. They have only two periods per week for sports and the next period o that day is hand work, which is the only one for that week.
I thought kids were supposed to have fun at this age. All great minds say let kids learn by them selves. the best of scholars say do not give home work ill the kids are at least 10.
So, my question is should I drive my kid to go along with the flow and not give him the childhood he deserves or be rebellious and fight against the system?
